File transfer between computers
There are different ways to transfer a file from one system to another or between systems.
Using home network where all the systems drivers are shared by LAN connection. By using the below steps you share the file only with particular system.
- Right click on the folder which you want to share.
- Then, select Properties -> Sharing .
- Click on the Share This Folder option enter the share name, and then click OK.
To share a file with multiple system follow the below step,
- Select the file or folder which you want transfer.
- Right click on the file or folder.
- Select
Properties -> Sharing -> Share.
File transfer between Mac OS X system
Using the Airdrop there are two way to transfer a file successfully. One is choosing the AIRDROP option from the FINDER and just click and drop the file which you want to transfer. For the other option you have to follow the following steps to transfer a file.
- Choose the file which you want to transfer.
- Right click on the File -> Share -> Airdrop.
- Select the person to whom you want to transfer the file.
- A notification will be received by the recipient with the option ACCEPT or DECLINE.
- If ACCEPT option is selected means the file gets transfered successfully.
File transfer between Mac and pc
The following steps will help to transfer a file from mac device to a pc device.
- Select GO -> Connect to Server option.
- Enter the server address like smb://respective IP address.
- Click CONNECT.
- While connecting to server, a windows user credentials will be displayed where you have to select the REGISTERED USER radio button.
- Enter the user name and password of your computer.
- Select CONNECT.
- Select the volume you want to mount on the selected server, from the box appeared.
- Now share the file which you want.
File transfer between computers and Iphone
There are two different medium ( wired and wireless) to transfer a file between computer and iphone, but here I have mentioned two simple, easy and cost free wireless file transfer method.
The first way is by using the app WiFi Photo Transfer. Do the following steps to transfer a file from iphone to a computer
- Download the WiFi Photo Transfer app from the App Store.
- Then, open it, it shows the IP address.
- Enter the IP address in the computer browser. Click Enter.
- Click on the Camera Roll option, you will be provided with all photos and video file which is present in the iphone.
- Select the file which you want. Click on Download button.
- The another option to transfer a bunch of file is click on the Download in .zip button.
- Select the files just by click on the check box below the file and then click on Download Select Picture option which is displayed at the top.
The second method is by using the FileMaster, its a two way file transfer app which means by using this you can transfer a file from iphone to computer also from computer to iphone.
- Download the FileMaster App from the App Store.
- Open the FileMaster app, a IP address will be shown to you.
- Enter the IP address in you computer browser. Click Enter.
- Now all the stuff in the iphone will get displayed in the computer select the item which you want to transfer to your computer.
- To transfer a file from your computer, click on the START UPLOAD option.
- Browse the file which you want to transfer, and then click CHOOSE button.
File transfer between linux system
- Right click the folder which you want transfer.
- Choose Local Network Share option.
- Check the SHARE THIS FOLDER option and GUEST ACCESS option from the Folder Sharing window.
- Then click on Create Share button.
