As I await for some custom MSI switches from you all to test deployment of the clients, I am curious if this is something that has a solution already.

Currently the Admin account is defaulted into the Administration group.  I have an actual Administration group in which the top tier folks from the company are within, CEO etc.  Is there a way to hide the Admin account from showing up and or create a group, move admin to that group, and then hide just that group on the server side?  It just looks odd seeing "Admin" in the list with actual people.

The only temp solution I came up with is taking hold of that account and renaming it to my first and last name since I ultimately am the admin of the server - I can then put the "admin" in the IT group.  (I do lose LDAP functionality however which is something I would prefer not to sacrifice as passwords change since this one will be out of sync)

Maybe there is something I missed when looking over the settings.  Thanks everyone!  Looking forward to making the purchase soon once I have all the tweaks figured out.

*I just tested this Client Side and found a solution, but need a way to deploy them all like this.

Settings (Gear Icon), Hide Users/Groups, Hide Users, Select Admin, hit Save.

If I can have a way of deploying the clients with this option selected then I am in good shape.

We are still working in installer parameter settings option. Hope tomorrow or day after tomorrow we will release that version.

Regarding Admin user, even you can rename that user account to your preferred user. All are editable. Admin user is just for default login.

Okay awesome.  Looking forward to trying that out.

Here are some of the options I am making a list of to modify from the default settings in case it helps:

Menu – Show Profile Picture in Contacts List – Uncheck

Menu – Other Options – General – Show Offline Users in Separate Group – Uncheck

Menu – Other Options – General – Show notification pop-up message for status other than online - Uncheck

Menu – Other Options – Chat – New Chat Window should pop up – In Minimized State (select) – Check “Show new messages at the right bottom of the screen”

Menu – Display Details – Hide Users/Groups – Click Plus on Hide Users – Select “Admin”- Click OK

We have updated our MSI installer with Parameters.
You can download the latest MSI installer from our website
http://outputmessenger.com/outputmessengersetupmsi.zip

Pass Parameters as below
OutputMessengerSetup.MSI PROFILE_PICTURE=FALSE STATUS_NOTIFICATION=FALSE OFFLINE_USERS_GROUP=FALSE NEW_CHAT_POPUP=MINIMIZE NEW_MESSAGE_POPUP=TRUE SERVER={SERVERIP}

Replace "{SERVERIP}" with your server ip address.

Regarding Hide Admin, it is not needed as you can rename Admin Username into active User Name. (And also it is hard to do via parameter)

You can also update Server
http://www.outputmessenger.com/OutputMessengerServerSetup.zip
To update Server:
1. Stop Output Messenger Server Service, if running.
2. Exit Output Messenger Server Manager tool if running.
3. Install new updated server over existing version
4. Start the Service.

Awesome. Going to test this out today!  Thank you very much for the custom MSI!  If you have a full list of Parameters I am interested in those too incase there is anything else I come across.

*Tested and this works perfectly!  I also switched users on the same machine and the settings hold for the new user as well which is exactly how I wanted it.  Half of our machines are multi-user.  :)

Also any way to enable the add of offline users to group chats?  (I have asked the question in this thread and recently responded to it)  http://www.outputmessenger.com/qa/index.php?qa=286&qa_1=adding-offline-users-to-group-chat&show=288#c288
